These trailers are designed for sailboats with a fixed or lifting keel.  The support arms can be adjusted to suit the type of hull.  Alternative supports can be provided for yachts with fully retractable keels.

 

Trailers with up to 3.5 tonnes gross are fitted with ball hitches, over this weight 50mm eye hitches are fitted.  Power brakes are required by law for all trailers over 3.5 tonnes gross and air brakes can be supplied at extra cost.

 

If trailers are immersed, especially in sea water, then proper safeguards against corrossion must be taken.  All trailers up to 3500kg gross weight are fitted with waterproof bearings.
